Schools for Children in the Community
We encourage our faculty, staff and students to participate in our communities; to make positive contributions to the communities we teach, live and learn in. Our school communities make these contributions in many creative and helpful ways, such as:
- Supporting the homeless
- Recycling food and clothing
- Improving public spaces
Supporting the homeless
- Lesley Ellis students participated in planning birthday parties for 10 homeless children to each enjoy the kind of birthday party most kids take for granted. Students made birthday cards and sold them to raise almost $2000 for "Birthday Wishes", a non-profit that provides birthday parties for children living in homeless shelters.
